Johnson and Johnson World Headquarters is currently recruiting for a Director, Human Resources to provide strategic thought partnership to the CPG leaders and leadership teams for our US Customer Development (Sales) Organization. The position may be located at any J and J site within NJ, PA or NY with a strong preference for Skillman, NJ (where frequent visits will be required). At least 25 domestic travel will be required based on business needs.
The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for developing, leading and executing HR strategies to support short and long term objectives for the Customer Development group which is composed of Field Sales, E:commerce, Customer Account Teams, Channel Management, Shopper Analytics and Sales Strategy. The incumbent will also be part of multiple leadership teams (in Sales and in Human Resources) and will be expected to contribute to shaping strategy and working on solutions to drive increase value to the organization and overall business.
The focus will be on building and integrating new e:commerce, new channel development and channel management capabilities while advancing overall talent strategies and high performance. This position requires strong executive coaching skills as well as significant consumer packaged goods business acumen and experience. The position will interface with both newly appointed and tenured senior leaders, all reporting to the US VP of Customer Development. The incumbent will be part of several leadership teams and will report to the HR Vice President for North America Consumer Group of Companies.
Principal duties and responsibilities include the following:
Collaboration and Influence : Effectively collaborate with senior leaders and leadership teams to drive a culture of excellence in execution, customer centricity, growth, employee engagement and high performance.
Talent Management : Drive an integrated talent strategy to ensure talent pipelines have the required depth and breadth; develop talent for critical roles and leadership positions. Foster an environment where diversity of thought and background are a strong foundation for development and high performance.
Strategic Workforce Planning : Assess and diagnose human capital needs and drive all critical HR processes including capability assessments to ensure gap mitigation plans, competency development and enhancement, future versus current state needs, etc.
Executive Coaching and Business Partnering : Provide fact based insights, counsel and advice to senior leaders and senior leadership teams including best practices and available resources and tools. Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner for key leaders to further enhance effectiveness. Play a key partner role in ensuring seamless transition of several senior level leaders. Proactively apply HR diagnostics and tools to drive effectiveness: New Leader Assimilation, Team Effectiveness, Talent Assessment and Action Plans.
High Performance Culture : Partner with key leaders to drive and embed a high performance based culture leveraging data driven insights from Credo Survey to inform outcome oriented action plans.
Team Leadership : Responsible for the performance and development of 1 direct report; must demonstrate strong collaboration skills and ability to influence without direct authority across HR peer group and stakeholders.
A minimum of Bachelor's Degree required. MS/MA/MBA in Human Resources, Organization Development, Organization Behavior, Organizational Psychology, Consulting Psychology, Industrial Organization Psychology, Labor Relations, MBA or similar related discipline preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources required.
Industry experience in Consumer goods and services or high tech is highly preferred. Experience supporting commercial teams in large and complex CPG companies in
